Editor’s Note

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are over for 2022, so we’ve stopped updating this article. However, some of the sales listed below may still be ongoing.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday can bring mixed feelings for sustainably-minded folks. Some people choose to abstain from the annual event to reduce consumption and boycott overproduction, and we applaud that. For others, deep discounts can make sustainable products accessible when they might otherwise be unaffordable, particularly in a year when inflation is high and many are feeling the pinch.

As with any purchasing decision, it’s important to carefully consider your actual need for the item and any reuse-and-reduce alternatives. Shopping secondhand is usually cheaper and greener, but not always an option.

We also know that a reusable swap for a disposable product (think period underwear or paper towel alternatives) can often cost more upfront even if it saves money in the long run, and big holiday sales help lower the barrier to entry. Many ethical, eco-friendly brands host sales that are on par with the big-box stores, sometimes even donating a portion of proceeds to charity.

We reviewed thousands of deals and sales to find the best Cyber Week deals on eco-friendly products, sustainable clothing, and clean tech. Please shop responsibly.
